This workshop is geared not only toward auditors who want to improve their supervisory and leadership skills; it is also geared towards auditors who want to be more effective in their interaction with those around them. 

The goal of this workshop is to sharpen auditors’ interpersonal communication and leadership skills and thereby improve the audit environment and ultimately increase the compliance of audit findings. 

Participants will explore ways to motivate people, improve enlistment and keep morale high through expanding their insight into how they impact those around them in terms of their communication style and the impressions they create. Communication, listening, team building and leadership skills are targeted areas which will increase the quality of audits and reduce the stress inherent in every audit situation, thus allowing for positive audit environments based on mutual trust and respect.

The global economy is in a state of constant change and because of it, auditors’ roles are also ever changing. Increased flexibility in and understanding of communication and leadership has become the key for success.

Specific goals of the seminar include:

• Experiencing the impact of trust and respect on professional and personal interactions,
• Seeing yourself as others see you, both in terms of your style and the impressions you create,
• Understanding your own communication style, the styles of others, and how these styles impact outcomes,
• Learning best practices for gathering information, negotiations, interviews and other communication situations
• Enhancing your communication skills in an audit context,
• Practicing skills and techniques throughout the course, and receiving feedback.
